You may have noticed that Sunview has updated their raisin canisters and the new ones are made of plastic. The change was made for 2 reasons. One, the new packaging keeps the raisins fresher over a longer period of time versus the old cardboard packaging. Two, the new packaging is easier to recycle than the old canisters. The new packages can be put directly into your recycling bin and there is no need to separate the lid from the metal from the cardboard. Our consumers told us that the old packaging was difficult to recycle in their municipality. In additon, the new packaging is partially made with recycled plastic.
